Antagonists

The antagonists are the various entities that will introduce threat and obstacles to the investigators.

Self-insert

  • A version of the author perfectly suited to the role and story it inhabits.
  • Head of the author,body of the character.
  • Only cares that the story continues as it should.
  • Normally only says her name in the form of sentences (Gemovich gemovich gemovich? Gemovich!).
  • Special ability: Can alter the story and scene by narrating it, however she suffers 1 stress per word (except “Gemovich”) that she says. They cannot directly change beings that do not come from the imagination of the author (e.g. the investigators and The Taker of Thoughts).

The Taker of Thoughts

  • A plucked goose the size of an elephant with the head of a dried squid

The taker of Thoughts can gain the following attributes based on the investigator’s actions.

  • Feathers: Its goose body regains its feathers allowing it to fly.
  • Rehydrated: Its squid head hydrate allowing it make two attacks per turn.
  • Fins: It gains a massive shark fin on its back, allowing it to fully submerge and swim in any depth of ink.
  • Tough: It gains 2 armor.
  • Horned: It gains a d12 horn attack.

Protagonists

Protagonists are various entities that will try to aid the investigators. If an investigator reaches 0 STRENGTH or 0 CONTROL in the mind of E.M. Gemovich their body and mind is taken over by on of the protagonists. The body takes on the form of the protagonist and the player will then play as the protagonist.

The protagonist can now leave the mind of E.M. Gemovich and live in the real worl. However, they will want to help E.M. Gemovich so they can save their friends in her mind.
