Inis Ocular
- Pronounced: Inn-ish Awk-you-lar
- Etymology: Inis is island in irish, ocular is related to eyes
- Location:
- Importance: Trade port for the realm to other realms across the sea. Trade only occurs here to quarantine merchants from other realms.
Corpse island
The island consists of a single mound in a spiral shape, petering off towards the external of the island. The charred remains of the red serpent from The Inferno myth made for perfect volcanic soil and a strong foundation to the island. The ground is still warm yet does not burn meaning the island is warm all year round.
Birch trees grow out of the grooves of the spiral whilst Red Bugloss cover the rocky tops. Ants live in the soils collecting honeydew from the birch habiting aphids. In turn short spaghetti sized blind snakes (Leptotyphlopidae) eat the ants and their eggs.
Gold and treasures are buried deep in the belly of the corpse. They have not been discovered.
The head of the snake is where the main fortress stands. On one of the eyes lays the Observatory.
The serpent
Massive Serpentine catfish feed off the nutrients the island gives off.

Port
The port is bustling with trade. Overseas merchants are not allowed to go inland, instead trade occurring here.
Observatory
Inis Ocular is known for its observatory and has been taken over by The Emerald Lights. They use the observatory to try to watch the emerald lights in the sky. The leader is Mentha the Mint (they/them).
Hallowed Garden
The official ruler, The Shield Knight, lives in a small garden house in the hallowed garden.
Trillium blaschkanum
In the garden, grows the alien flower, Trillium blaschkanum (Blaschka known for the glass flowers). Each flower is split into three from the stem to the head. Each third has one triangular petal and triangular leaves. The thirds are connected by thin fibres.
All of it looks quite glass-like and one third is coloured emerald, another third a dark iridescent purple, and the third a yellow colour.
Textiles
The leaves of Trillium Blaschkanum are fed to silk moth larvae producing green, purple, or yellow silk depending on the leaves they eat. These are used by local textile workers to make very expensive clothing. The silks possibly have other effects.
Strangely there are also a lot of leather workers on the island. Lots of leather is received from other realms through trade as there is little cattle farming in The Excised Realm.
Blackmail
The Shield Knight is blackmailed by Mentha the Mint to let The Emerald Lights rule. This is because they have evidence of The Shield Knight skimming wealth off the top from the trade that passes through. SHe fears execution by The Ghoul Knight
