Session Eight
Intro
The Reliquary Knight
You open your eyes as the Reliquary Knight. All around you is darkness as you fall deeper and deeper into the hole. Through the impossible distance the air gets thinner and thinner. Deeper down you see a circle of lights getting larger and larger until you are swallowed by it. You float in a black ocean of stars.
As you lazily spin you see a sight that steals the last of your breath away. A massive orb of blue, green, and white. You feel its attraction yet can’t get any closer.
Then your lungs fully collapse from the shock of seeing the hydra emerge from a hole of absence. Its many heads reach for you until a green flash pushes it back into the darkness. You close your eyes, the Eigengrau replaced with the emerald lights.
The Story Knight
You open your eyes as The Story Knight. Green ooze surrounds you as you are embedded in the walls of the tower. You see two other injured forms in their own goo caccoons. As you look around a pair of green eyes open on the walls. They stare at you and you feel a deep drowsiness. You close your eyes.
The Pearl Knight
You open your eyes as The Pearl Knight. Bodies are scattered around you, brothers in arms. Before you is the writhing form of the Hydra. The sacrifices were not for vain as its trapped in the mouth of a miniscule cave. Although no weapons seemed to have any effect The Quill Knights mythic cudgel deals devastating damage.
As The Quill Knight is about to slay it, The Candle Knight readies a candle. You ready your own candle out of habit. But as The Quill Knight raises her cudgel a shadow descends and the it is grabbed from her hands. A Cat like bird, a bird like cat, whatever it is grabbed the cudgel. Just as quick The Quill Knight is ripped to pieces by a barrage of curling grasping and biting heads.
The Candle Knight freezes in place with wax melting over her hands yet The Hydra does not move towards her. Instead, once finished with the Quill Knight it attacks you. JUmping back you trip and land on a body of a comrade. You throws your candle but the Hydra laughs. Desperately you try to grad a weapon only to find an incredibly smooth rock. You raise it ready to throw. The Hydra laughs “No rock can harm me”. You throw it in defiance see it is no rock but your gift from the deep, a pearl. It hits the hydra whose laughs turns to screams as its skin withers and desiccates where the pearl struck it. In anger it strikes at you and you fall over the cliff edge. You see The Candle Knight flee as the hydra retreats.
Through pain and broken bones you make your way to a cave on the back of your faithful Rose steed. You have recovered for days keeping constant vigilance. Eventually you hear the sound of horses and Knights descend to greet you. With a sigh of relief you close your eyes.

- Strange farmer who notices the stillness of the air
Day 2 Night

- Stay at the farm for hospitality
- Desert omen 3
- Crafty hunters trying to hunt buzzards which the knights almost interrupt
- Hunters do get buzzard and join the knights in the barn they are staying in
- Salt Knight gets some Buzzard oil from them
Day 3 Morning
7-4 -> 6-4
- Desert omen 4
- The Hag’s magical eye which the Salth Knight squirts with water
- The Hag takes note of the knights
Day 3 Afternoon
6-4 -> 6-5
- The cudgel omen 4
- The Knights meet the hedgehog and figure out it is the once Quill Knight
- Its goal is to defeat the hydra
- Twist is that it wants to get caught
Day 3 night
6-5
- Cudgel omen 5
- The guard believes they have the cudgel but turns out it is just a stick
Day 4 morning
6-5 -> 5-6
- Cudgel omen
- Hawkleon has cudgel at the top of a large rock outcropping
- However, the cudgel has taken root and the Hawkleon can’t take it out
- Pearl Knight tricks hawkleon into flying them up
- The knights and hedgehog gang up on hawkloen who is allowed to escape
- The company figure out the trick in taking the cudgel and The Hedgehog claims to be a new seer
Epilogue
The Mule Knight
You open your eyes in vain as The Mule Knight. The Green Eyed Seer’s tower descends in a landing of the forest. An arm, a leg, reaches into its body and plucks out a body covered in goo. It drops it down onto the ground and as promptly leaves.
The goo covered Knight hacks and sputters its first breath in a while. “Thanks for the observatory and stables, now lets speak of how you can truly help this realm”. The Mule Knight closes their eyes as their steed leads them back to the fort and they think of how to use The Story Knight.
