Session Nine

Hydra

Ask the players the following questions:

  • How do you track down the Hydra’s current locations?
  • How do you acquire weapons of your namesake?
  • How do you intend to trap and vanquish the Hydra?

The Hydra is the mountain ruins of Lugran, a castle once used for mining.

Metal clinks off the crumbling stones. The white and green lights of the sky fizzles as windbound sands scrape against the ruins. You find the mine tower. It was at the deepest point of the once grand castle yet you are at its top.

Descending down the circular stair you’re careful not to fall into the centre. You could brave the rope that was once used to lift up treasures but you fear it’ll next be used for your coffin. So steadily you descend into the abyss.

Break her to go to Desert Hag section

Finally you reach the bottom and exit the tower. The scene is lit by glittering green and yellow light bouncing off the ores and gems of the uneven walls. Tracks zigzag over the floors leading to various tunnels, carts standing and fallen full of precious minerals. The smell of wet copper, iron and sulpher clings to the air. There is so much to see, dead smelter, wooden cranes, wooden cabins with pots of dessicated food, and the bones of miners. But their is one feature all your eyes attempt to focus on. One of the cart tracks leads into a perfectly circular and perfectly vertical tunnel. No light penetrates it and light leaves it. The Hydra’s hollow.

Desert Hag

Here the players will play as The Emerald Knights:

The warm embrace of Emerald. You open your eyes to see your allies enveloped in the emerald too. You hear a voice in your head. Once you did not recognise it but through eternal repetitions you know it be your own. And so you recite the oath again.

Seek the Purple
Honour the Emerald
Protect the Harvest

Once more for luck

Seek the Purple
Honour the Emerald
Protect the Harvest

A jostle followed by a gentle thud. A blur of images but once you fully gain your senses you feel the ground below your feet and see the green lights above. The tower has dropped you by the lake. You all now remember the mission The Green Eyed Seer has gifted you. Find the Desert hag and eliminate her, she has taken the rain. It will reduce the harvest. Shocked by the lack of rain but even without the sight of a dried out lake you would know it to be true. The Green Eyed Seer is all seeing.
